WIAW: Photo Dump Cuz I Said So

Today is going to be a post of few words, and more pictures. You know what they say, “Open your mouth only if what you’re about to say is more beautiful than silence.” I’m not sure if “they” say it, but I’m pretty sure I couldn’t come up with words more beautiful than photos of food, amiright?

WIAW

So today I’m settling for a photo dump of all my eats recently. I’m trying so, so, so hard to turn down dinner invitations and happy hours (but you’ll also notice I’m making no qualms about going out to lunch. Shut up about it). That’s not to say I’m not going out at all but my wallet wasn’t too happy with the amount I was going out to eat and drink during the week as of late. But hey, my workout game has been on point so I’m not crying about it.

Protein-packed snacks getting me through to my next meal

I took myself on a lunch date and ate this croque monsieur alone at my favorite french cafe. It was a fun date full of pleasant conversation. Just kidding.

  1. I think I have to put ‘visit Trader Joes’ on my bucket list – you know, just so I can make an educated decision on what my fav trader joes meal would be 😉
And there is nothing wrong with taking yourself on a lunch date – although wish I had been there to join you 🙂

  2. Alllll the things. especially the last 2 things 🙂 I basically ate by myself last night because Alex took forever to meet up with me and I had already ordered and he said it would be only a few minutes… He lied.

    1. I’ve tried a few and they’re good but this one was out of this world! Well, if you like bbq chicken at least haha. So, so good. Luckily my friend split it with me because I could totally have finished it by myself…

  3. Ahh the Jeni’s Buckeye State! I am totally going to have to get me some this weekend! I totally just found a Jeni’s gift card in my wallet too! Um why have I not used that yet :/

  4. i haven’t hit up a TJs in so long — i love their stuff, but i’m such a grocery store fail, and it’s annoying to have to lug grocery bags around the city! so lazy. so i’ll just drool over all the TJs products you other bloggers get to enjoy. 🙂 i don’t go out to eat by myself often — usually just pick stuff up and eat at my coffee table (because that’s what we have in NYC instead of real tables). fave ice cream flavor, hmmm…i really like Pinkberry’s pumpkin, and their mint chocolate cookie.

  5. All your food looks so good. Yes I do go out to eat by myself when I am at work. I actually don’t mind it. Sometimes I feel like it is better than going with co workers and are obligated to make small talk just bc they are there.

  6. I need to make those nachos, they looked amazing when Susie shared them and when I saw them on your Instagram I wanted them all over again. My favorite ice cream flavor? All of them. Just kidding, I don’t like mint. So, every other flavor.

  7. OK girl seriously all this food looks awesome sauce. That meal from the french cafe- nom nom!
I go out to eat alone for lunch and talk to myself – just kidding. My favorite trader joe’s item is the orange chicken. Favorite ice cream is chocolate chip cookie dough. 🙂

  8. Whoa now. Did you put CHOCOLATE CHIPS in your Chobani?! That just may be the smartest thing I’ve ever seen. Up to this point I’ve been pretty much a granola-with-yogurt sort of person (or a yogurt-with-yogurt sort of person :P), but chocolate chips + coconut yogurt seems like a whole new level of delicious.

  9. This is the most delicious WIAW I’ve ever seen.
Roasted sweet potatoes, BBQ chicken pizza, Jeni’s Buckeye ice cream (!!!), chocolate peanut butter oatmeal, and those perfect scooping chips all in one post?!??!
Ooh and I tried Potbelly’s for the first time when I was in Chicago this summer and I loved it!

  10. My favorite dip from Trader Joe’s! Love a lot of the items here, but that one really caught my eye. It’s going on my grocery list.

  11. Good looking food this week! Those sweet potato nachos sound delicious!
I haven’t been out to eat by myself in a while, though I’m not opposed to it! Favorite TJ’s meal… hmm… I like a lot of the organic soups from there. And favorite icecream… oof, that’s a hard one- I loooove coffee oreo, and lately I’ve been loving Talenti gelato in PB or caramel!

  12. I LOVE going out to eat by myself! My husband used to think I was such a weirdo. I’m an only child and lived alone for a long time so alone time is quite precious to me (and I rarely get it anymore!) It has been FOREVER since I had a croque monsieur. I have got to find someplace that has them now. Pretty much my favorite sandwich ever!

  13. Yummy yummy yummy to my tummy!! Oh wow girl, you ALWAYS eat the most amazing meals. I love looking at all the pics!! I’m hungry now! 🙂 I love eating! Roasted butternut squash and potatoes- what an amazing meal! Also, love your avocado and salsa meal!! It looks very delicious! Have a great day! XOXO

  14. Mmmm…salivating at the sweet potato nachos! All of your eats are making my menu as of late look pretty lame! I have gone to small cafes alone but never an all out restaurant! Unfortunately, I can’t choose just 1 flavor of ice cream. I’ll take it all!

    1. It’s called Toni’s Patisserie! It’s right by Millennium Park on Washington. Check it out! $1 macarons on Thursdays too 😉 but their croque monsieur is great, as is their salad nicoise and desserts. Love love love! It’s very casual — perfect for lunch or an afternoon coffee date.

  15. I don’t typically go to a sit down restaurant alone, but smaller cafe like places I frequent alone ALL THE TIME! It’s quite relaxing. I need some ice cream..and those chips…together.
