Having a schedule like mine is super weird. Not sure if I’ve mentioned that before (sarcasm).
Sundays used to feel odd – like the “end” of something. Now it’s just another day, and knowing that this morning is a Monday ain’t no thang. That being said, the one thing I do appreciate about the weekends is I get to spend a lot more time with loved ones (because, sadly, most everyone else has a normal life and they use the weekends to do activities. how rude).
Lot’s happened this weekend. so let’s be obnoxious and rhyme about it.
There was spinning, painting, applesauce-making and Red-Robin-shaking (those bottomless fries, yo):
There was running at sunset down Lake Shore Drive (with donuts on donuts for my running to thrive):
There were babies in costumes I creeped on online, and Hawks game raffles where I won a prize:
Popcorn and sweet potatoes, surprise surprise. You fools dominate my taste buds, despite all other tries:
Okay end rhymes. My “Sunday night glass of wine” brain thought that was a good idea five minutes ago but now it’s clear I’m running out of juice (both figuratively and literally).
Finally, a few funnies to start your week:
Just kidding that wasn’t last – I have to keep making sure that I’m holding myself accountable for my workouts. I did pretty well this past week!
Workout Accountability 10/20-10/26
- Monday: 4 mile run
- Tuesday: Body by Jake full-body video (free on Hulu!)
- Wednesday: Yoga Sculpt
- Thursday: Flywheel
- Friday: Rest
- Saturday: Rest
- Sunday: 5.25 mile run
HECK YES!
Questions:
- What was your favorite workout this week?
- Do weekends seem like a big deal to you or do you have a wacko schedule too?
- Ever been to Red Robin? What’s your favorite thing there? (bottomless fries are a given).
Wait….there is a place which has bottomless fries? Why Australia. WHY.
You just put Dr.Seuss to shame. What is that epic apple…device?
It’s a peeler/corer…it didn’t work AS well as it looks but it was still reallllly helpful. Start a Change.org petition for a Red Roin to come to Australia! haha
Nice rhyme skillzzzzz… that’s pretty good for a Sunday night. Oh and I seriously do open the refrigerator looking for answers on a daily basis…
It’s a serious problem….the answers are usually only temporary too haha
I took a glow in the dark yoga class this weekend which was so fun! Yoga with techno musics? Interesting, confusing and a blast!
That’s so cool!! I’d love to try that!
My favorite workout was yesterdays 4.5 mile run! I have finally returned to outdoor running and my oh my I never realized how much I missed it! Good luck on your 4 miler today 🙂 Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed mine!
Because the weather has stayed so cooperative I just knew I had to get an outdoor run in yesterday! Glad you took advantage too 🙂
Look at you Swizz Beats…. I love the lulu donut contradiction. Hey, you gotsta fuel for success!
…and I’m ashamed at how amazing my run went after using that donut as fuel. I think I just found my secret weapon!
Haha nice poem! I’d like to see you publish that! 😉
Totally love Red Robin..like you said…there’s times when you just need to satisfy the call…:)
I broke a hugggge cardinal rule of healthy living the other day and didn’t eat for about six or seven hours. At that point I NEEDED Red Robin 😉
haha, those last images made me laugh. wknds are big deals for me, as i work a corporate job during the week and look forward to my wknds to fill as i choose — usually lots of running, and usually upstate w/ the fam and boyf. faves. 🙂
Haha well you definitely seem to make the most of your weekends! You always have the most fabulous pictures and moments to share on Monday morning 🙂
Oooh I went to Flywheel this weekend, too! I had never been before (I had actually never taken any spin class in any capacity before), but I took my first class Saturday morning. It was quite the experience!
They’re opening up a new studio today in Old Town I’d love to go with you if you’d be interested! Unless you didn’t like it 😉 I’ve had mostly teachers I love but a few I wasn’t feeling AT ALL so if you didn’t like it I hope you give it another shot with a new teacher
That’s where I went, actually! They had a preview class that I got invited to. It took me a little while to get into it, but by the end I really enjoyed it. We’ll have to see if we can find a time where our schedules match up 🙂
Babies in halloween costumes is what makes me want to have kids!
hahahaha if only they could stay adorably dressed up like that 24/7 365 😉
I’m really impressed with your rhymes. I have zero skills!
That chickadee costume is beyond adorable!
Lol they aren’t that impressive but I’m glad they got some chuckles from you folks this morning 🙂
lol I love the fridge quote- so true. You make me want to make up a big ol’ bowl of soup now!
I know I just realized that I basically turned my favorite snacks (popcorn and sweet potatoes) into a meal by simply adding soup! haha
I went biking around the entire island of Manhattan with my huband last Sat! Whew! Then I blew my entire workout and went out drinking with my friends, lol. Hot mess. Oh well. Yolo!
That’s amazing! I’ve still never been to NY – gotta add that to my bucket list! Drinking with friends is so important sometimes! I do it allllll the time 🙂 it’s good for the soul!
Omg now I want to go to Red Robin just to eat fries and then stuff my face with donuts afterwards.
I loveeeeeee donuts as snacks, Pre-run fuel or dessert. Never breakfast tho otherwise I’ll crave sugar every ten minutes for the rest of the day haha
I honestly just want all the food pictured in this post. Amazing. Red Robin is awesome. We had one in my hometown, but I haven’t seen one in Houston. I ran a half this weekend and am now in total R&R mode 😀
Ugh wouldn’t red robin French fries be the most perfect post-run meal?! Congrats on that half!
I haven’t been to RR in far too long. I go CRAZY on those fries. OMMGAAH.
The fact that they’re steak fries AND bottomless” is DANGEROUS!
Haha, Red Robin brings me back to college because for a year I lived in a hotel right next to one. The school put up some transfer students like me in a nearby hotel – it was our version of a dorm because the school have an influx of students living on campus and ran out of room – and we would go to Red Robin for dinner all the time because, well, it was CONNECTED to where I lived. Their veggie burger is actually pretty good!
Whew, did I just say “the school have an influx”? HA. I’m tired!
Lol nice term 😉 very professional! How weird of a situation is that! I’ve never heard of anything like that. On the days when you went to red robin I get that set up was AWESOME
Now I’m going to petition for boston to get a red robin bc the concept of bottomless fries needs to come to this city. Pronto. Also I want all the food in this post and also that baby in the bird costume bc OMG THOSE CHEEKS.
Those fries are the hit of this post! I want them all day everyday! Haha so so good
BAHHHHHH FU**IN’ HHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! That Kermit photo – I AM … DYING FROM LAUGHTER! It couldn’t be MORE TRUE 😉
RIGHT?! Get your fear priorities straight, people. It’s mass hysteria out there!
I clearly need to get on the bottomless fries train!
Um yes can you think of a better train to be on?
