There’s something about classic 90s hits that really keeps a smile on my face during the workday. A few weeks back I went to see a 90s cover band and I honestly can’t tell you the last time I had that much fun! Growing up I was really into Hanson and Savage Garden, but for some reason I missed out on most of the cult classics from Blink 182 and Dave Matthews and all that. Luckily, thanks to modern technology, I can go back and relive the glory days anytime I want, and I don’t even have to have a cassette tape ready to go to record a song when it comes on the radio (those were the days, huh?)
I’ve been putting together a 90s playlist and realized that I have to be missing some! So, in the spirit of Throwback Thursday I have to ask…what are your favorite 90s songs? Comment below!
In the meantime, here’s the throwback you didn’t even know you needed, but will now thank me for:
And of course my favorite:
You’re welcome π Now tell me your favorites!
Haha! I’m not a 90s person when it comes to music… I like the ‘new stuff’ haha… but I’m glad that I found your blog!!! It’s so great π Super cute and fun! Hope that you have a great rest of your day!!
Hey we all have our “thing” π Glad you’re here!
π Love em all! My favorite is the Tootsie Roll song haha
hahahaha see these are the songs I’m forgetting! Classic eighth grade dance song
Yes! Loved some BSB! I was a huge Usher fan & loved TLC- though I think that was more of the 2000’s & I definitely loved MmmBop too!
I wasn’t into any of that R&B stuff so some of it I’m just hearing for the first time haha especially TLC – how did I miss that?!
Perhaps not exactly a “classic” ’90s song, but man, I loved B*Witched when I was little. C’est La Vie = third grade for me. Haha.
Oh my gosh yes I had their CD! The orange one where they’re all jumping haha. Great song!!
Ummm ALL OF THEM? I love the 80’s and 90’s for music. I guess back then was when I was going through my grunge stage so I listened to a lot of Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I used to think Eddie Vedder was hot. WTF.
It’s so weird – I LOVE 90s music and HATE 80s music. Haha imagining you, or anyone from this side of the blog world, having a “grunge” phase is hilarious.
Ahhh yes! So many memories. Backstreet Boys for sure! Also, no 90s list would be complete without Hit Me Baby One More Time by Britney!
How could I forget Britney?!
OMG Hanson…and Backstreet Boys/NSYNC, along with B.Spears were all my jams.
Hanson is totally underrated. People always ask me if I was an NSYNC girl or a Backstreet Boys girl and I can’t believe it’s only between those two…Mmmbop was a gem!
I’m OBSESSED with 90’s music and pretty much listen to 90’s radio on Pandora all the time. One of my favorites would have to be Roll To Me by Del Amitri. So catchy!
Listening to that song now…see this is EXACTLY the kind of classic I’ve forgotten about and depend on you all to share with me π perfect! So glad I found your blog!
This is awesome, I love this post and a lll of these songs…..Including Hanson!! LOL My sister and cousin were in love/obsessed with them, so I was always surrounded by their music and grew to like it. Thanks for posting these songs, they reminds me of my awesome childhood with great friends and no responsibilities!! π
It’s easy to forget about some of these songs but the second you hear them you’re transported! I was always a Taylor Hanson fan. Looking at their music video now they look like little children hahaha I can’t believe I was younger than that looking up to them!
Oh that is such a good question…there are so many to choose from! I might have to go with Tiffany I think we’re alone now or Janet Jackson something. Is Belinda Carlisle Heaven on Earth the 80’s or 90’s?? Man I miss music videos π
hahaha oh my gosh you are SUCH an 80s music lover! I’m watching the music videos now and cracking up at how stereotypical they are of the 80s
I loved Hanson! I also loved spice girls so much!
Two princes is one of the best songs ever – always makes me smile!
how could i forget Wannabe? Spice Girls were great!
Savage garden?! No way! I thought they were a strictly Australian thing.
LEt’s not start mmmboping right now.
Nope! I loveeeed them. I wonder where they are now? That’s a scary thought haha
Anythign and everything BSB and Spice Girls. Also Robyn “Show Me Love.” One of the best ways to find great old songs is to go through the old Now that’s what I call music! CDs π
I wasn’t allowed to listen to the Spice Girls haha so now I think I make up for lost time and freak out whenever Wannabe comes on – total white girl
If you’ve never seen the music video you mustβit’s all in one take!
I loved the 90s!! I miss the 90s!!! Such great music!! I love all of your songs!!! So fun to read this post!!! You’re the best!! XOXO!!
I’ve been listening to all the songs all weekend – such great music!
