This is it this is it this is it! If you can, imagine me prancing around my apartment right now singing “It’s the most wonderful tiiiiiiime, of the yearrr” because that is absolutely what I’m doing.
I specifically remember the post I wrote on the first of September last year…I was just emerging from a difficult time in my life and it felt like I was living every day in a constant cycle of pain with no end in sight. I remember I decided to use the new month/new season to start over, mentally, physically, emotionally.
There are so many reasons why I love the beginning of the fall season: chilly weather, hot drinks, oversized sweaters and crockpot cooking galore. But I love the feeling of revival that comes with the change in seasons. It’s a chance to hit reset, to reevaluate your goals and priorities, and really stick with them.
So today, while I undoubtedly start browsing the pumpkin bread recipes, I’ll also be writing some new goals for the month. Nothing crazy, but just some accountability to be the best version of myself. Once I get a hard copy of my goals I’ll definitely share, but for now the wheels are turning in my mind. It’s the beginning of an exciting season, and I hope everyone takes advantage of the new month to make those changes they’ve been putting off. Because, after all, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
Questions:
- What are some changes you’re hoping to implement this month/season?
- What’s your favorite part of September?
- Favorite pumpkin indulgence: baked goods, candles, home decor, coffee creamer?
It’s fall!!!! I get way to exited once September hits. Football season is back this week and there are pumpkins decorations at the grocery store. Life is good again.
Amen!! You put it perfectly! It’s the best time of the year
Ok, September is a pretty good month…but I am trying to delay winter for as long as possible! It doesn’t really start to get to me until after the holidays, so I guess I have some time:)
I just hope fall doesn’t fly like summer did — I’m just going to pretend winter doesn’t inevitably follow fall 😉
My favorite part of September is that it’s my BIRTHDAY month! But I also love pumpkin bread and pumpkin-scented candles. So calming!
Birthday months are the bomb! Pumpkin scented candles are my favorite too
Historically, my favorite part about September has been that my birthday is in September, though I’ve got to be honest – this year that’s just making me feel old as dirt, so I’m much less excited about it than usual! I am, however, excited for apple everything. I associate pumpkin more with October, but September is alllllll about apples in my book 🙂
You’re right I always skip apple and go straight to pumpkin — this year I’m going to try some fun apple recipes too! You are NOT old because if you’re old I’m old and I’m not old! I refuse!
So happy for you. you are at such a better place, and you have grown so much. Truly exciting! Can I see you this month???
Thank you! And YES — I’ll send out an email later and we can try I make it happen haha
Acknowledging that we are ready to become or continue becoming better versions of ourselves is such a cool thing 🙂 cheers to a new season! And all things pumpkin 😉
Cheers to that!
YAYYY all the kids go back to SCHOOOOOL! *jazz hands*
Haha you love it for a whole other set of reasons. I can’t even imagine! 😳
Love fall too! One of my goals for this month is to complain less and work hard on reaching my blog goals :).
Great idea! Complaining takes up a lot of space in our lives but I do it alllll the time too!
Gahhh I don’t know how I am going to cope with this whole season change thing! I won’t have fall until around March/ April time! How crazy is that! But knowing summer is coming is pretty cool. So maybe I will just do all the pumpkin recipes and then just dump then on a salad/ chill them in a smoothie or drink my pumpkin lattes iced!
My goal for this month – take everything step by step and don’t get overwhelmed!
Haha yeah it’s going to be so weird now that we’re on opposite season schedules.
